The Salvation Army's Del Brockelman, left, joins John H. Robins and David S. Layton in holding part of a 50-foot-long submarine sandwich containing plenty of pickles. The Steinfeld pickle people picked a prime part of town to promote their proportionately pleasing pickle products. In celebration of National Pickle Week, Steinfeld's Products and Blimpie Subs created the sandwich and served it Wednesday in front of the new Deseret News building under construction at 30 E. 100 South. Construction workers and passers-by got free food. Twenty-five feet of the sandwich was contributed to the Salvation Army food program.
