Elmer T. Lund, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully after a long illness on May 23, 1996, two days before his 90th birthday.

Elmer was born on May 25, 1906, in Salt Lake City, to Conrad A. Lund and Helene Karen Schultz Lund. Married Bernice Barton on April 23, 1932; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Elmer was a High Priest in the Monument Park 5th Ward, where he served for many years as a greeter. Employed by Sears for 30 years; retired in 1966. In his early years, Elmer was active in tennis and golf. Participated and enjoyed barber shop quartet singing.

Survived by wife; two sons, David E. Lund, Seattle, Wash.; and John B. (Rita) Lund, Salt Lake City; also survived by many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 25, 1996, 12:30 p.m. in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave. and N Street. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East So. Temple, Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 to 12 noon prior to services.
