Muhammad Ali is suing a film production company for putting his picture on a telephone credit card.
The $500,000 lawsuit filed Thursday says Ali granted Los Angeles-based Forever Films the rights to use his name and likeness in promoting the 1989 movie "Champions Forever." In 1994, however, Forever Films allegedly allowed Nevada-based phone company Amerivox to use the boxer's photograph."Those rights were limited to the movie," said Kevin Gaut, Ali's attorney. "We didn't say they could do whatever they wanted."
