S.L. COUNTY WOMAN ACCUSED OF SHOOTING STORE CLERK

A Salt Lake County woman has been charged with attempted murder following the drive-by shooting of a Chevron gas station and convenience store clerk Saturday.

Prosecutors say Amanda Isabel Reveles, 18, was identified by witnesses, police investigators and information from police reports as the person who shot Gabriel Castellano in the back at the convenience store, 875 S. State, about 12:30 a.m.Charges filed Wednesday in 3rd Circuit Court say Reveles was a passenger in a car along with six others when the car stopped at the gas station and Castellano was shot in the back.

Reveles told police she discarded the weapon after the shooting, charges say. She is in the Salt Lake County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
