Richard LaVern Densley passed away May 25, 1996 in Yuma, Arizona.

Born October 27, 1919 to Isaac John and Mohleta Beus Densley in Soda Springs, Idaho.Survived by wife, Melba Rees Densley, five daughters: Karen (Mike) Bentley, Dorothy (Mervin) Prince, Lori (Ric) Packard, LaNita (Guy) Brinkerhoff, Coleen (Paul) Jacobson; daughter-in-law, Pat (Pete) Martin; stepchildren: Linda (George) Hardy, Shonna (John) Badertscher, Dave (Lori) Rees; 27 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill and Jack Densley; stepsister, Sharon.

Preceded in death by wife of 50 years, Lydia Ann Jenkins Densley; son, Richard LaVern Densley, Jr; and several grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters, Norman, Joel, Thelma, Melva and Ralph.

Dick retired from Kennecott Copper Mine with forty years of service; worked as an electrical contractor for several large companies and individuals; worked on electrical systems in all areas of the Salt Lake Temple--from the deepest niche to the highest spire.

Member of the LDS Church; served as a scoutmaster for several years. Member of the Union Lions Club for many years. He enjoyed his electrical work, traveling, and bowling with the Lions League.

Funeral services, Tuesday, May 28th, 11 a.m., Midvale 8th Ward, 645 So. Jackson Street. Friends and family may call at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, Monday 6-8 p.m. and also on Tuesday, 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the ward. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Lions Eye Bank.
