U.S. ISSUES TRAVEL WARNING

In light of recent terroist activity and threats by Egyptian terrorists to kidnap U.S. citizens, the State Department is advising travelers to exercise caution in the Middle East in general, and Egypt specifically. The U.S. Embassy in Cairo recommends the following security precautions:

- Avoid mosques during midday Friday prayers.- Avoid possible flash points such as fights, accidents, demonstrations and hostile crowds.

- Vary your daily routine to avoid become a target.

- Keep abreast of regional and local news events that might indicate changes in the security situation.
