Audrey Hagen teaches about puppeteering at the Davis District arts fair for handicapped students this month. About 450 disabled students, along with 300 "peer buddies," or friends assisting them, attended. The students participated in various workshops, including tie-dying, singing, dancing and flower painting. Organizer Carol Pratt said while the daylong event is a lot of work to put on, it's worth it to see handicapped students doing things they often don't get enough opportunities to do.
