DEATH: MELBOURNE ELLSWORTH WRIGHT

Melbourne Ellsworth Wright, age 87, of Salt Lake City, our loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away May 27, 1996, of Parkinson's Disease with his loving family at his side.

He was born September 17, 1908, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ernest Ellsworth and Flora Hartwell Wright. He married Majorie Mae Millar on October 26, 1929, in Farmington, Utah. Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1946.He loved his church and served in many capacities including Seventies Presidency, Ward Clerk, Sunday School Secretary, and Stake Sunday School Secretary.

He loved to garden, and golf, but most of all he loved his family. He will be missed by one and all who knew and loved him.

He was a lifelong member of U.T.C. and M.R.C.. He worked for General Mills and General Foods and Albers Milling as a salesman. Employed by Carnation Company, as District Sales Manager for 32 years, retiring in 1972. His life was one of dedication and love.

Survived by his wife, Majorie; three sons, Melbourne M. Wright (Merilyn), Salt Lake City; Robert F. Wright (Joyce), San Jose, Calif.; Dennis G. Wright (Edy), Salt Lake City; and two daughters, Carol M. Palfreyman (Les), Tempe, Ariz.; and Marylyn J. Erickson (Fred), Salt Lake City; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by father, Ernest, mother, Flora, one sister and two stepsisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 1996, 11 a.m., at the East Millcreek 16th Ward, 3408 South Celeste Way (3120 East). Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m., at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral directors: Holbrook Mortuary.
