Orpha Vida Watkins Casper, age 93, of Midway, Utah died May 27, 1996 in Bountiful, Utah of causes incident to age.

Born September 16, 1902 in Midway, Utah to Henry Watkins and Jane Ellis Alder. Married Reuben Orson Casper October 1, 1920 in Midway. Sealed May 11, 1927 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death October 4, 1946.She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in the Relief Society, Sunday School, Primary, and YWMIA. She loved quilting, crocheting and tatting. Did much beautiful handwork and sewing. Her children and grandchildren all loved and respected her. She lived a beautiful life and taught us many wonderful things. A woman of great faith who loved her Lord and her family.

Survived by her daughters: Lucille (Lawrence) Johnson of Orroville, Calif.; Marian (Willis) Berry of Bountiful; Elaine (Thomas) Carlile of Orem; Fern (Verl) Rasband, Provo; and Gloria (Michael) Toomey of Alpharetta, Georgia; 17 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death a son, Russell; daughter, Marjorie Pyper; and brothers, Elijah, Morris, Casey, Lamar Watkins; sisters, Myrtle McMullin, Mary Bronson, and Lucille Daybell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary and one hour prior to services. Interment at Midway Cemetery. Arrival approximately 1:45-2:00 p.m. We love her. We will miss her.
