Arthur B. Culley, 85, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away suddenly on May 28, 1996.

Born July 1, 1910 in Tooele, Utah to John Jack and Agnes Lambert Culley. He married Maggie Bryan on August 2, 1935 in the Logan Temple. Retired from Kennecott Smelter after 40 years of service, during which time he was also a full time farmer. Gave many years of service to his church and community. Served as Elders Quorum president, High Council member, bishop and patriarch. As a couple, served a mission to Nashville, Tennessee. He served as Scout Master, life time Scouter and received the Silver Beaver Award. Former PTA president.Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Maggie; four children, Jay (Rona) Culley, and Allen (Shannon) Culley of West Valley City; Marilyn (Tom) Nixon of Alpine; and Bonnie (Lani) Haacke of Orem; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ethel Peasnall, Edith Poteet, and Helen Southey. Preceded in death by two brothers and one grandchild, Stacey Culley.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 1996 at the Crosspointe Ward, 5550 South 1330 West. Friends may call Friday evening 7-9 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, and at the church on Saturday, one hour prior to services.

Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
