He's already faced Father Time. Now the king of Sweden must answer to the tax man.
King Carl XVI Gustaf received more than 1,200 gifts from his subjects and foreign dignitaries when he celebrated his 50th birthday Tuesday.But he may have to pay tax on any gifts worth more than $1,500, Swedish media reported Friday. The Dagens Nyheter newspaper said the tax could be up to 30 percent of each gift's value.
