DEATH: STANLEY LEATHAM WEST

Stanley Leatham West was called home at the age of 85 on May 3, 1996 do to the complication of old age and cancer.

Born on October 30, 1910 in Hunter, Utah to Nephi Thomas West and Janet Urquhart Hunter West. Married Gertrude Jane Jacobsen on February 20, 1931, marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 27, 1948.He was a loving sweet heart to his wife. A good father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was Kennecott Copper number 1 machinist for thirty years. He was a man of his word and believed in Jesus Christ and what he taught. A quiet man who loved order. We will all miss him.

Survived by his loving wife, Gertrude Jane Jacobsen, their one daughter and two sons and there spouses: Janet Lorraine Kirk and husband Floyd Earl Kirk; Stanley Leatham West and wife Annette Sorensen West; Thomas Gilbert West; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon on Tuesday May 7, 1996 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call on Tuesday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
