DEATH: MARYLYN L. STERLING

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, Marylyn Jean Lang Sterling, 58, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 3, 1996 after a lingering illness.

Marylyn was born April 5, 1938 in Murray, Utah to Golda Mae Oliver and Theodore Stanley Lang. She married Elmer A. Sterling on May 19, 1956. Sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Mother went to school and received her L.P.N. license and was working towards her R.N. degree when she took ill. Mother was also an active member of the LDS Church, holding many positions in the Relief Society and Primary, and she loved singing in the choir. Mother's illness started in 1989 and she progressivly got worse. For the past 8 years she was lovingly cared for by her devoted husband.

Survived by her loving husband; six daughters and three sons, Susan (Randy) Peterson, Clifton, Idaho; Connie (Terry) Larsen, Woodland Hills, Utah; Linda (Chad) Reid, Vernal, Utah; Laura (Don) Seder, West Valley City; Victoria Sterling, Holladay; Brad Sterling, Portsmouth, Virginia; Sam, Marylyn, Elmer "EJ" Sterling, all of Draper; 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Barron and Wayne. She is also survived by her loving sister, Romae (Glenn) Shryers; three brothers, Ted Lang, LaMar McKay, Carl Briggs.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 1996 at 1:00 p.m. in the Draper 4th Ward, 13366 South 1300 East, where friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday 11:45-12:45 p.m. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens. Funeral directors Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary.
