DEATH: LEONA C. MCALLISTER JENSEN

Leona C. Jensen, 97, died on May 3, 1996 at the Rocky Mountain Health Care Center.

She was born on March 21, 1899 in Salina, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served for a time as the Relief Society Secretary. Charter member of the American Legion Auxillary. On April 1, 1920, she married Ralph Walker McAllister in Richfield, Utah. He died in November of 1944. She later married Rhuben (Gummy) Jensen in May 1946, he died in 1977.She is survived by her son, June (Becky) McAllister of Spanish Fork, Utah; and her daughter, Joan (Neal) Tuft of Evanston, Wyoming; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Walker Leo McAllister, who was tragically killed in World War II.

Funeral services will be held in the Salina LDS Stake Center on Tuesday, the 7th of May, 1996, at 1 p.m. where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Interment will take place in the Salina Eastside Cemetery, under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home, Evanston, Wyoming.
