Frank Simister passed away May 5, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a short illness.
Born January 4, 1913 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, a son of Jesse Edmund and Emma Beswick Simister. He married Lillie Mae Urry, January 16, 1937. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Frank worked many years in the Utah Transportation System starting with Dime Cab, then Greyline Motor Tours, ending with Yellow Cab. He retired at age 76.He loved cars, watching sports, telling stories and traveling new highways. He enjoyed many callings he performed in the church.
He is survived by three children, Emma (Dan) Hall, Provo; Janet S. Hendricks and Robert J. (Rowann) Simister, both of Salt Lake City; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Stead, Salt Lake City; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillie Mae Urry Simister, October 19, 1995; two children; parents; three sisters and two brothers.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 8th, at 11 a.m., Belvedere Ward, 607 East Downington Avenue (1830 South). Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East So. Temple, Tuesday 6-8 p.m., and at the ward Wednesday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
