DEATH: PATRICIA ANNE (COLE) HANSEN

Patricia Anne (Cole) Hansen, died in her Monroe, Utah home Saturday, May 4, 1996 from complications common to pneumonia.

She was born December 17, 1929 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to Cohn Henry (deceased) and Ida Adella Collins Cole. Her mother, who is now 98 years old, two brothers, Henry Merrit and Wesley Conway Cole, and a sister, Ida Adella (Cole) Mackin, all live in Alberta, Canada.Pat was an activity-oriented Canadian Honors student who won the gold metal for academic excellence in grade twelve. Later, she transferred from the University of Alberta to BYU, graduating in 1954. During summer and autumn months, she was employed at the LDS Hospital as a medical technologist. The same year, on December 17, she exchanged wedding vows in the Manti Temple, with Evan W. Hansen from Monroe, Utah. Pat was married at age 25, diagnosed for Multiple Sclerosis at 29, began using a wheelchair at 39, and is currently 66 years old.

A viewing for family and friends will be held Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Monroe residence located on 2010 Sierra Vista Dr., and again on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Monroe 1st Ward Chapel on 49 East 200 North. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
