DEATH: LYNN C BRAITHWAITE

Lynn C. Braithwaite, 76, died Sunday, May 5, 1996 at his home.

He was born February 4, 1920 in Manti, Utah, a son of Clinton and Eva Hall Braithwaite. He married Latone Stewart, December 2, 1937; later the marriage was solemnized, February 14, 1939 in the Manti Temple. He was educated in the Manti schools. Moved to Ogden, where he lived for 22 years, then moved to Ephraim in 1970. He was a member of the Ephraim 1st Ward, LDS Church. He devoted his whole life to the service of his wife, family and friends. He loved the mountains, fishing, hunting and camping. He worked for the Grand Union, Hill Air Force Base, was the owner of L & L Custom Builders for 20 years in Ogden; he then moved to Ephraim, where he owned L & L Trailer Court. He was a devoted member of the Sanpete County Search and Rescue for 20 years, and remained an honorary member.He is survived by his children, Betty and Ray Sackett, Larry and Tammy Braithwaite, Joyce and Dick Winesburg, Melvin Braithwaite, Lynda Andreasen, Ruth and Russell Wingert, Jane and Dave Sorenson; three brothers and three sisters; 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 9, 1996, 11 a.m. in the Ephraim 1st Ward. Friends call at the church Thursday, from 9:15-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Manti Cemetery under direction of Buchanan Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers contributions should be made to the Sanpete County Search and Rescue Commander Allen Stapley, Sanpete County Sheriff's Dept., 160 North Main, Manti, Utah 84642.
