28 STUDENTS FROM 3 UTAH HIGH SCHOOLS TRAVEL TO D.C. TO LEARN FIRSTHAND HOW AMERICAN GOVERNMENT WORKS

A total of 28 high school students and teachers representing three Utah high schools traveled to Washington, D.C., last month to learn firsthand how American government operates.

Students from Judge Memorial in Salt Lake City, Green River High School and Valley High School in Orderville participated in the Close Up Foundation government studies program.During their week in Washington, the students attended seminars with members of Congress and met with a representative of the Washington press, lobbyists, government officials and political figures to learn more about the federal process.
