Louis Hart Gardner, 70, of Richfield, Utah, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died May 8, 1996 in Richfield, Utah.

He was born May 30, 1925 to Louis William and Clorene Davis Gardner, in Venice, Utah. Hart married Jane Louise Thomson, August 8, 1945, in the Logan LDS Temple.As a teenager he received the National FFA Award. Hart was active in the LDS Church. He served as a counselor in the Venice Ward bishopric, bishop of the Richfield 4th Ward, and as a high councilman for many years in the Richfield Stake. He held numerous other church callings.

Hart enjoyed and spent many hours visiting friends at the care center. The highlights for his life were church service, operating his cattle business and, love for his grandchildren.

Hart is survived by wife, Jane Gardner; son, Perry Gardner, Richfield; daughters, Suzanne Pearson, Bountiful; Margaret and Gary Kyhl, Nephi; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Dallin and Judy Gardner, St. George; sisters, Winnie and Robert Fowler, Casper, Wyo.; Bonnie and Frank Roberts, Salt Lake City. He is preceded in death by parents; two daughters, Julianne and Melanie; four grandchildren, Kerri Anne Gardner; Gary J. Kyhl; and twins, John Justin and Clark Cade Pearson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 10, 1996, 1 p.m. in the Richfield 4th LDS Ward chapel, 159 North 400 West. Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Friday morning from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial with military Rites by the VFW Sevier Post #5050, in the Richfield City Cemetery.
