Spurs coach Bob Hill wants his team to learn a lesson from recent history.

The Spurs were booted from the playoffs last year in the Western Conference finals by Houston after winning the regular-season series from the Rockets. Now in the conference semifinals, the Spurs find themselves down 0-1 to the Utah Jazz, who lost to San Antonio 1-3 in the regular season but proved a formidable opponent with a 20-point blowout victory Tuesday night.

"We acted like we were shocked that they could play that well. I don't know how else to say it," Hill said. "Let's take a page from last year's series with Houston and let's learn from it."

The Spurs were booed in the Alamodome as they lost the homecourt advantage. They get the chance to redeem themselves tonight in Game 2 of the best-of-7 series.

"We've given up a big advantage and we have nobody to blame but ourselves. So we've got to come back and get it," said David Robinson, who led the Spurs with 29 points in Tuesday's 95-75 loss.
