Motorcycle enthusiasts throughout the state are gearing up for Utah's largest road ride as they embark on a trip to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The 45th annual "Wendover Road Ride to Benefit MDA" begins Sunday, June 2, at the Harley-Davidson dealership in Salt Lake City. The trek ends in Wendover at the Stateline Casino and is organized by Joe Timmons, owner of the Harley stores in Salt Lake City and Ogden.Last year, riders raised $20,000 for "Jerry's Kids," and the road trip attracted as many as 1,000 motorcyclists. Minimum donation to participate in the event is $15. All riders receive a commemorative pin with other prizes available.

Registration information is available at all Harley-Davidson locations in Salt Lake City and Ogden. For more information, call MDA at 278-6200.
