SHARE LDS BUSINESS COLLEGE AWARDS DEGREES TO GRADUATES THURSDAY

LDS Business College in Salt Lake City will award about 200 diplomas at its 109th commencement exercises Thursday, June 6.

The ceremonies will be held in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square beginning with the academic processional at 6:50 p.m.Elder Henry B. Eyring of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will deliver the commencement address. Wendy Ann Jones, an accounting graduate from Kearns, has been named student speaker for the event.

Albert Choules Jr., a hotel and public relations executive, will receive the 1996 distinguished alumnus award. A 1949 graduate of the college, Choules served as a member of the LDS Church's Quorum of the Seventy from 1988 to 1994. He has also been active in Scouting, earning the Silver Beaver Award in 1971.

Choules earned his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in 1951 and an MBA from Harvard in 1953. He is currently vice president of a New York public relations firm, Coltrin & Associates.

The church-owned college will award associate degrees and one-year certificates to graduates in accounting, business and en-tre-pre-neur-ship, computer information and technology, general science, health services and office administration.
