SHARE DEATH: LAURENCE (LARRY) HARMON

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother and friend, Laurence (Larry) Harmon, age 88, returned to his Heavenly Father on June 8, 1996.

He was born November 27, 1907, in Fairview, Wyoming, to Appleton M. Harmon and Mary Eliza Child. He married Norma Littledyke December 21, 1927, in the Logan LDS Temple.He was general manager of Deseret Clothing, later named Beehive Clothing, for 33 years.

He and his wife served a special mission to Brazil in 1977. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church. Some of the many positions in which he served include ward and stake Sunday school president, MIA leader, first counselor in the bishopric, high councilman in two stakes. He enjoyed serving in the Salt Lake LDS Temple as an ordinance worker for five years.

He will be remembered by his family and friends for his warm, friendly, cheerful personality. He was a great friend to those in needs.

He is survived by his wife; his children, Norris Laurence (JoAnn) Harmon, Karla (Kenneth) Cordery, Dan Leon (Jeanie) Harmon; 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; sister, Alta (James) Johnson.

Preceded in death by parents, four sisters, three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 12 noon at Jordan North 2nd Ward, 4270 South 4145 West. Friends may call Tuesday, 6:30-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Wednesday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
