Gunawan Mohammad, chief editor of Tempo magazine, waves to journalists Thursday after Indonesia's Supreme Court overturned a decision that had allowed Tempo, the country's oldest magazine, to resume publication after a 1994 ban. The chief justice said in his verdict that the decision to annul Tempo's publishing license was not illegal. Tempo and two other publications were banned in 1994 on the grounds that their reports were disrupting national stability.
