Cindy Crawford's mother has denied a tabloid newspaper report which quoted her as saying her daughter was the target of a kidnapping attempt.
The Sun, Britain's largest-selling newspaper, quoted the mother as saying her daughter had escaped from a man who had posed as her chauffeur in Paris two months ago."She wasn't kidnapped. It's just not true," Jenny Moluf of DeKalb, Ill., said in an interview with The Associated Press.
She said that she had spoken to a British reporter who asked her if there had been any frightening incidents since her daughter became famous.
Moluf said she told the reporter about an incident some 10 years ago in which a fan tried to hustle the model into a car in an attempt to meet her, but with no apparent intention of causing harm.
