SHARE DEATH: FLEDA JENSEN LARSON

Fleda Jensen Larson, 84, died June 12, 1996 at her home in Sandy.

Born March 26, 1912 in Brigham City, Utah, daughter of Clarence and Elfleda Lund Jensen. Married Delmas R. Larson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple May 20, 1931. He preceded her in death July 6, 1990.Fleda's greatest accomplishment was her family. She was extremely energetic, and her enthusiasm was contagious. Graduated from Jordan High School, where she was the first female cheerleader. Excelled in drama and speech both at Jordan, and at the University of Utah. Worked in the Salt Lake County Library System in many areas. Later completed her degree at the "U" to pursue her greatest love, teaching children. Deeply touched many young lives as a teacher at Bingham, Copperview, and Peruvian Park Elementary schools. Fleda's many church callings included serving as president of the Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women. She was an accomplished pianist and loved music.

Survived by her children, Gloria Swapp (James); Russell (Deborah); Marshall (Jan); 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Venna Smith; and brother, Dr. Cleleo Jensen. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters Callie McPhie and Hertha Tanner.

Funeral services Monday, June 17, 11 a.m., in the Pioneer Ward LDS Chapel, 8650 So. 220 East, Sandy. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Sunday 6-8 p.m. and at the ward Monday one hour prior to services. Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.
