Juab County commissioners have agreed to have the county attorney prepare an interlocal agreement with Tooele and Millard counties for Juab County West Deseret Ambulance Association to provide emergency medical services for small West Desert communities near the Juab County line.

It was decided Juab County would assume the administrative responsibility and Tooele and Millard counties would assume the costs of training the people from their communities to serve as EMTs."Tooele commissioners indicated they were interested in a per-capita cost agreement for the costs of the area served by the ambulance association," said Commission Chairman Gordon Young.

Millard County commissioners have agreed to pay the costs of training a person from their county who is already serving on the crew.

Glen Allred, president of the West Desert Ambulance Association, said several EMTs already serving are from area communities outside Juab County borders.
