Conductor Keith Lockhart will bring the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra to Utah this summer for a concert July 22 at Deer Valley.
The 36-year-old Lockhart was named the Boston Pops' 20th conductor in February 1995. Since then he has led more than 40 concerts, including a nine-city tour with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra.He is currently among the candidates for the music directorship of the Utah Symphony, which he is to conduct next April.
The July 22 concert, which will begin at 7:30 p.m., is being sponsored by United Concerts. Tickets are $32 if purchased in advance or $34 the day of the concert.
