Harriet Delight Thomas Frampton, 93, passed away June 15, 1996 at Cottonwood Hospital following surgery.
Born June 20, 1902 in Herriman, Utah, daughter of William Benjamin and Angeline Beal Thomas. She married W. Vere Frampton February 28, 1948 in the St. George Temple.Delight was a faithful member of the LDS Church serving in many ward and stake positions. At age 85 she was called as a CTR primary teacher preparing four lovely girls for baptism. She loved music and sang in the Tabernacle Choir for 38 years. She and Vere served a mission to New Zealand. Delight worked in the Salt Lake County Assessors office many years before her marriage. Many people have enjoyed the beautiful quilts made by her loving hands -- maybe even hundreds! She loved to serve and to give. She made the neighborhood more beautiful when she was able to garden. She will surely be missed.
She was a loving second mother to her stepchildren, Mary F. (Ralph) Schofield, William V. (Marie) Frampton, of Salt Lake; Dan D. (Berylene) Frampton, serving a mission in Morris Plains, New Jersey. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and many devoted nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vere and step-daughter, Janice Frampton Burnham, five brothers and two sisters.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday June 18, 1996, 12 noon at Holladay 25th Ward Chapel, 4650 South Naniloa Dr. (2880 E.) Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Drive, and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Funeral directors, Cottonwood Mortuary.
