Jesse, 5, was born July 28, 1990. He is a delightful little boy who needs loving, patient and flexible parents. He loves to swim, take walks and go shopping. Jesse also enjoys movies, stacking toys and being read to. Although he isn't demanding, adult attention is im-por-tant to him and he plays well with other children around. He can also entertain himself easily and is generally cooperative. Jessie is attached to his foster family and responds well to praise.

Cerebral palsy has given Jesse physical limitations. He has inconsistent muscle control, wears ankle and foot braces and uses a reverse walker and forearm crutches.Although he has average intelligence, he doesn't talk. He goes to an early intervention pre-kindergarten program where he is learning sign language and uses augmentative communication devices. Sometimes he needs a little help with dressing, undressing and using the bathroom, but he's pretty independent in these areas.

Jesse has been in and out of foster care since 1992. He's been in the same foster home twice - before and after a brief adoptive placement that didn't work out. His social worker would like him to be the youngest or only child in a two-parent Christian family. Financial assistance is available.
