SHARE MURRAY SUPERINTENDENT GETS NEW 2-YEAR PACT

Ron Stephens has been reappointed superintendent of the Murray School District.

Stephens was awarded a two-year contract by the Murray City Board of Education. His salary was increased to $72,143 a year.Stephens has use of school district car during the day, is provided health and life insurance and an annuity as benefits.

A former legislator, Stephens has been superintendent of the district for 10 years.

About 6,600 attend school in the suburban district.

"I love my assignment. I love the team spirit in Murray. That means the board, the teachers, the other employees and the community. It's a dream come true for me," Stephens said.
