Hi. I'm Jody Lyn Johnson. I was born in Elko, Nevada, on January 26, 1960 to my loving parents, Joan Mason and William S. Johnson. On June 17, 1996, I was called to serve in another part of my Heavenly Father's Kingdom-a place where there is no pain nor infirmities. Though faced with many challenges, I have served well here in mortality, with a ready smile, contagious laughter, non complaining attitude, a helping hand and Christ like compassion for all.
While on earth I especially enjoyed working with the youth in the Young Women's program, volunteering at the Arthritis Foundation and serving as a second mother to Nicolas and Chelsea. I know you will be sad at my leaving and I'll miss your for awhile, but I know we will be together once again.I leave behind my loving family, which includes, my parents; my sisters and their husbands, Pam/Drew Dahl and Debi/John Harbert; my nephews and nieces, Jason, Shanon, Nathan, Danielle, Erica, Nicolas, and Chelsea; my grandparents, Teressa Johnson and Sarah Mason; my aunts, uncles, and cousins. I also have been blessed with numerous loving friends. Both my grandfathers and my grandmother were waiting with open arms to greet me.
I have truly been one of God's chosen and served as an example by enduring to the end. May my love and memory give strength and peace to those I leave behind.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 1996, at 11 a.m. at the Farmington Utah Oakridge Stake Center, 1988 South 350 East, Kaysville, Utah. Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 20, from 6-8 p.m. at the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, and one hour prior to services at the stake center. Interment, Spanish Fork Cemetery, Spanish Fork, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, I request that donations be made to the Utah Chapter Arthritis Foundation.
