A California woman was in critical condition after surgery Tuesday for injuries sustained in an auto-pedestrian accident last week.

Rebekah Graham, 23, King City, Calif., was injured Friday night when she was hit by a vehicle while attempting to cross University Avenue on foot.Police say a southbound vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Orem man hit Graham, who was not in a crosswalk, at 1565 N. University Ave. The vehicle then crossed into the northbound lanes of traffic and collided with two cars.

Graham was transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, where she underwent surgery Tuesday to relieve pressure on her brain. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, said Provo Police Lt. Mark West.
