PUT END TO SNOWBASIN GIVEAWAY

SHARE PUT END TO SNOWBASIN GIVEAWAY

The Snowbasin land exchange act is a blatant attempt to take public lands and give them to a commercial developer for the purpose of making money. There is nothing wrong with making money, but not at public expense.

To say that this land exchange is necessary for the 2002 Olympics is a farce. The 1,320 acres is wanted for real estate development to take place long after the Olympics are a thing of the past. The Snowbasin Ski Resort now has all the lands it needs to host the downhill and the GS.This exchange is wrong not only because it takes valuable public land that is currently being used by the public and exchanges it for land that is far less desirable, but also, development, if it is permitted, will negatively impact water and air quality in the area.

Please, let's put a stop to this giveaway.
