Bob Dole says he's "bothered" that he trails President Clinton in the polls, especially among women.
"I don't think there should be a gender gap," the GOP presidential candidate told Republican women in California earlier this month. "I think the gap will close."Dole may be right, but he's got his work cut out for him. One recent poll showed Clinton ahead by nearly 20 points among women voters.
This seems strange considering how close the candidates are on so many issues. As the election approaches, Clinton and Dole seem less like fighters than grumpy dancers.
