Alice Virginia Pappa Mugleston, 82, lovingly known to her family and friends as Bubba (which translated means Grandma), died Tuesday, June 18, 1996 in Salt Lake City.
She was born July 30, 1913 in Midvale, a daughter of Matthew and Anna Radovich Pappa. She married Kenneth Goddard Mugleston in October 1934 in Salt Lake City; they were later divorced. Mrs. Mugleston was a hard worker, loved her flower garden and was well known for her cooking and baking. She was very colorful and fun and her family was very important to her.Survivors include one son and one daughter, Robert (Muggs) Kenneth and wife, Jessie Mugleston; Sandra (Sandy) Meadows, all of Salt Lake City; 23 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Parker, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary K, one granddaughter, one son-in-law, Pete Meadows, four brothers and seven sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 22, 1996 at the Cottonwood 2nd LDS Ward, 2080 East 5165 South, Salt Lake City at 12 noon, with Bishop Ellis Ivory, officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be in the Midvale City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Estates Mortuary.
