Henry L. Thomas, 81, beloved father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and friend passed away peacefully from complications of pneumonia on Thursday, June 20, 1996.
Born May 28, 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry (Harry) L. and Margaret Thomas. Up until the week he became ill, Dad enjoyed going to work everyday at Thomas Electric Co., with his son Rich. He truly enjoyed his association and friendship with his co-workers and customers for over 60 years. Dad also loved his family and was proud of his grandkids, Scott, Jenny and Mark. He also enjoyed going to Wendover and playing cards with his in-laws, Helen and Dan Royal and Irene Calton.Survived by his son, Richard and his wife, Chris; grandchildren; sister, Billee Peel; brother, Jack; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, son Tommy, three brothers and two sisters.
A great void has been left in our family, but we are so grateful for his loving, cheerful and generous example to us. He was a humble and great man, "a really nice guy", the greatest Dad a son and daughter-in-law could have, whose simple but profound philosophy of life was to be grateful for what he had, live each day to the fullest, and not worry about tomorrow.
