Adelaide "Addie" Howard Clay, age 72, our dear wife and mother, passed away June 21, 1996 at LDS Hospital after a long battle with diabetes.
Addie was born November 5, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Charles Walter and Victoria Adelaide Barkley Howard. She married George C. Clay on March 11, 1945 and remained his loving spouse for more than 51 years. As a young woman, Addie was a talented musician. She was always concerned with the welfare of her family, especially with her daughter and son-in-law who are deaf.She is survived by her husband, George; three daughters: Lorraine (Phil) Quigley, Patricia (Emiel) Bryker, and Barbara (Dennis) Anderson; five grandchildren: Andrea, Michael, Mark, Michelle, Heather; brother, Vincent Charles Howard all of the Salt Lake City area.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 25, 1996 at 11 a.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful. Friends may cal Monday evening from 6 - 8 p.m., and Tuesday one hour prior to the services. Interment in the Lakeview Cemetery.
