The weather was near perfect for summer planting over the weekend and temperatures will continue in the low 90s the next few days, but gardeners will have to hold onto their hats, with hot gusty winds in the forecast. For those who tire of looking at weeds, beginning tomorrow they can look at a celestial show of dry lightning, said National Weather Service meteorologist Bill Alder. A cold front is expected to move in near the end of the week, lowering temperatures into the 80s and bringing a chance of showers.
