One person was killed and six others injured in a one vehicle accident early Sunday morning on I-15 on the border of Juab and Millard counties.
Killed was:John A. Skinner, 60, North York, Ontario, Canada
Trooper Charlie Wilson said the minivan driven by Skinner veered to the right for some reason, and he over-corrected causing the van to roll two to three times.
Police received the first call about 5:45 a.m. The accident occurred just north of the Juab-Millard border. Rescue workers from both counties responded.
There were six other people in the van, Wilson said. Alicia Binns, 17, also from North York, suffered a broken back. She was taken to Utah Valley Medical Center where she was listed as serious but stable.
Wilson said Skinner was the only person wearing a seat belt. He died from a broken neck. Three or four of the other people in the van were ejected as it rolled but none was seriously hurt. Five people, who received mostly cuts and abrasions, were taken to the Fillmore hospital in Millard County.
