Our most beloved Marilynn, whose sweetness and courage blessed so many lives, passed away on June 24, 1996 at home from cancer.
Marilynn Horne Farr was born to Lyman Merrill and Myrtle Swainston Horne on March 29, 1926 in Salt Lake City. She married Lewis Lawrence Farr on October 9, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple.Marilynn attended East High School and graduated from the University of Utah where she majored in Child Development and Music. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, University Drama Club and Beta Delta Mu Music Sorority. She was also a member of the Utah Opera Appreciation Club.
Marilynn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings and was always the last one out of the building. She and Lewis served a mission to New Zealand and most recently served as ordinance workers in the Salt Lake Temple.
She is survived by her husband, her four children, Diana (Larry) Bowen Granite Bay, Calif., Charlene (Steve) Crawley, Meri Carol Wade, and Stephen (Serena) Farr; three brothers and three sisters, Dr. Robert (Phyllis) Horne, Dr. Jonathan (Colleen) Horne, David (Barbara) Horne, her identical twin, Carolynn (S. William) Allred; Harriet (Leonard) Arrington, all of Salt Lake; and Alice (Cloyd) Chamberlain, San Jose, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 27, 1996, 12 noon, at Mount Olympus North Stake Center, 4176 So. Adonis (3930 E). Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, and Thursday, one hour prior to services at the stake center. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
