UTA Rideshare is holding a meeting Wednesday morning for Utah County companies interested in programs to provide alternative transportation and improved air quality.
The meeting will be held at the UTA Timpanogos facility, 1110 S. Geneva Road.Company representatives will be introduced to UTA Rideshare's Employee Transportation Coordinator program. Businesses will be taught how to set up alternative transportation programs and discuss traffic-related concerns, issues and ideas.
Steve Meyer from the Sear-Brown Group will talk about I-15 reconstruction and expansion that will begin in 1997. Jeanne Redding, UTA Rideshare coordinator for Utah County, will discuss ways to alleviate traffic problems during the freeway project.
UTA Rideshare promotes and provides transportation alternatives to Wasatch Front commuters. Services include setting up carpools and vanpools, zero percent interest van leasing, and information about flex schedules, telecommuting, bicycling and parking management strategies.
