Montel Williams told Leeza Gibbons on the "Leeza" show (the "Nightline" of talk shows) that he may consider running for president of the United States.

"If you read my high school year book in 1974," he said in a taped interview, "I said that I would be president in the year 2000. I might have to wait a little longer. . . . The ultimate role and goal would be to serve publicly and make changes."Williams has definite priorities: Upon being elected, for example, he'd act immediately to extend his term. "First thing we need to do is to stop every-four year elections to president of the United States. It should be six years."
