Henry J. Messinger died in Midvale, Utah on June 26, 1996.He was born on October 22, 1899 in Leavenworth, Kansas, the son of William and Mary Rose Messinger. He married Helen Agnes Hoppe on January 28, 1939. She died on June 22, 1990.
He has been retired for many years from Farmers Insurance in Merced, California. Henry and Helen had no children; however they were loved by everyone who knew them, many friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. They loved to travel and after Helen's death, Henry continued his traveling in the United States through 1995.
A special time, a special place, a special person, a lot of grace, a lot of pride, a lot of love, he is in a special place above.
Henry is survived by his nephews, John U. Robert, Keith Coffin, Lyle Coffin, Clyde Messinger, and nieces, Joan Clark, Judy Osterloh, and Ruth Ward, and several cousins. Preceded in death by brothers, Fred, Ernie and Will Messinger; sister, Amy Coffin, niece, Shirley Coffin.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 1996, in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Olympus Section), 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
