John Edward Wasiloff, age 69, "Happy Birthday, Sweetheart", died June 27, 1996, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born June 30, 1926, Jefferson County, Ohio to Steve and Mary Wasiloff. Married Geneva Cowdell, August 21, 1948, Salt Lake City. Was an honorable veteran during World War II. Retired after 34 years of service with Utah Power and Light. Member IBEW Local 57.Survivors: wife, Geneva; sons, John William and Mike Steven Wasiloff; daughters, Cindy Barteaux (Ken), Linda Spencer (Gary); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Wasiloff, Cleveland, Ohio; sisters, Mary Macellari, Calif.; Ann Cappa, Beloit, Ohio; Kaye Smith, Mingo Junction, Ohio; Helen Samorrella, Mingo Junction, Ohio; Rose Benton, Charleston, So. Carolina; brother-in-law, Clifton Cowdell. Preceded in death by daughter, Mary Ann Jones, son, Edward Wasiloff, brothers, Richard and Steve Wasiloff.
Funeral Mass Monday, July 1st 10 a.m., Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 670 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Sunday, 7-9 p.m. and at the church on Monday one hour prior to services. Interment, Bountiful Cemetery.
