A majority of callers to a TV Guide phone-in poll said talk show hostess Kathie Lee Gifford has got to go.

Fifty-eight percent said they've lost respect for her since news that her Wal-Mart clothing line was being sewn at sweatshops in Honduras and New York City. Fifty-six percent said "Live with Regis & Kathie Lee" would be better off without her."What we found in this survey is that people are sick of her," TV Guide managing editor Jack Curry told the New York Post.

TV programmers questioned the results. Gifford "is a tremendous talent and we look forward to laughing with her in the morning for many years to come," Buena Vista Television, which syndicates the show, said in a joint statement with WABC-TV.
