Marian Myers Harrison died June 26, 1996 in Escondido, California.

Mrs. Harrison had been a Sandy, Utah resident for 16 years. She was born July 27, 1913 in Dixon, Illinois, to Ruth Hoon and Eldon F. Myers, the oldest of four children. Married William T. Harrison in Illinois, Sept. 9, 1948. He died in November of 1995.Survived by sister, Shirley Myers Miller, Cypress, Calif.; brother, Robert Ridgely Myers, Sr., Sun City, Ariz.; eight nieces and nephews; and 18 great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a sister, Alice Myers Lewis.

Mrs. Harrison was an accomplished trapshooter, winning numerous state and national championships. She was instrumental in setting up the California Trapshooting Association. Along with her husband, she was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the American Trapshooting Association in 1988.

Marian became a member of the LDS Church in 1970 and was an instructor of genealogy as well as a volunteer at the Family History Library.

Funeral services Tuesday, July 2, 1996 at 12 noon at the Willow Creek 9th Ward Chapel, 2350 East Creek Road. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Tuesday 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
