On a recent trip to Branson, Mo., there was a bus ride from Kansas City to Branson. It was about 200 miles one way.
While en route I noticed the price of regular gas as advertised on the gas station signs. The prices varied from $1.10 per gallon to $1.24 - much less than here. The price varied from location to location, which convinced me that the marketplace was setting the price.
The only way the government should be involved in pricing is to be sure that there is no collusion involved.
