Robert F. Kennedy's family returned to Cape Town, South Africa, to commemorate his visit 30 years ago.

In a speech at University of Cape Town in 1966, Kennedy spoke of the ability of individuals to make a difference in the battle to end institutionalized racism in South Africa and throughout the world."It is very special to come back where we really can feel the winds of freedom," said Ethel Kennedy, returning to South Africa for the first time since her visit with her husband. White rule ended in South Africa with the first all-race elections in 1994.
