Marvin James Smith, 47, passed away on June 3, 1996, due to complication of a stroke.
Marv was born September 19, 1948, to Vearl and Bonita Beauchamp Smith. He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers and one sister.Marv was a mechanic for many years. He loved country-western dancing and taught dancing at Country Christi's.
Survived by his loving companion, Judy Mounts, four sons, Rhett, Cody and Adam, all of Salt Lake City; Gerald Smith of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Saline Sorensen; two grandsons, Alex and Eric Smith of Salt Lake City; a sister, Kathy Job of Clearfield; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 7, at 11 a.m. in the Taylorsville 27th Ward Chapel at 2976 West 4270 So., West Valley City.
